Contest Info and Rules
Entry fee is $2 per person. Each person will throw 1 rock down the ice followed by the next player with no sweeping and no practice. Each person will then throw 1 rock back. Points awarded as follows:
- On the button – 5 points
- Touching the 4 foot – 4 points
- Touching the 8 foot – 3 points
- Touching the 12 foot – 2 points
- Over the hog line – 1 point
There will be one volunteer on each sheet who will record the points for each player. There will be one winner on each sheet. In the event of a tie those players will each throw one more rock.
Depending on the number of entries, curlers could throw as follows:
- Skips, Thirds, 2nds and leads will throw on individual sheets.
- If there are extreme numbers (ie 6 skips and 12 leads) players will be put on sheets to even out the numbers.
- Winners will be announced at the Banquet and prizes awarded (each winner will receive a $25 gift card from Safeway).
